Baby Drawing Spree

Motivation is a lovely thing that I have to yank out of my creative head.  I did these four in a few hour span.  I’ve never drawn a horse, a woman drawing her own eyeball, a deer with a bird in the horns and the creepy woman with three eyes.  I’ve been getting feedback and want to tip my toes in realism when I am in the mood.  Abstract to me is pretty easy compared to these drawings.  The most scary thing is that I never learned in art school (20 years ago) on how to shade, composition, emotions, what my piece’s statement is supposed to be.  I only have sixty more years to stop this hunger for creative purposes.

I agree, 100 years old is stretching it.

Isn’t Art Cute

CrazySaluteGirl

Art doesn’t have to be so serious, I am like really, really.  I have so much fun and it doesn’t feel like work at all.  Just imagine drawing pictures at the age of five and drawing or coloring books and books of Disney favorites.  Most of my images come straight to my hands and I don’t plan composition and shading–now I am educating myself in plenty of books of how I can get better with plenty of practice everyday.

Often I hear the question “How did you find your motivation” to “What emotion are you trying to convey?”  Some of my answers make people laugh and I am pretty much trying to entertain the viewer to share what they think.

Before and after is below.  I am starting to make pictures for the process of illustrations I make.  My favorite teacher Allise Noble from Creative 360 taught me how to take the build up of the first thoughts from brainstorming to a finished piece.

SISTERS  fishy

Now this piece is hilarious!!  I posted it on Facebook and most people were like..ummm…heather, the fish shouldn’t be there.  so I worked to change it…I would never had done it with out my friends.

I really did some second bedroom cleaning this last july 4th weekend.  Here I thought I haven’t done any new art projects for the past six months.

The one item I never explore in my posts is the fact that other people want to buy some of the images I design.  Now I am prepared to offer prints of most of my art pieces.  The images start at $10 to $800 depending on what you are looking for.  Feel free to contact me at my e-mail address.

Enjoy the journey of this starving artist and if you ever need me, I would love to hear a comment from you.  I only bite if threatened.

Some Artists Don’t Want to Sleep

untitled

My art mind clicks and tic tocks before or after I sleep.  New ideas are slamming my brain and I wake up excited to draw what I see in the blackest room in my apartment.  My eyes might be closed and the music in my ears is drowning, I still can’t make myself turn off sometimes.  My morning routine is to listen to a motivational for 20 minutes, exercise and third is to plan my day with the significant priorities. I am now happy with a new website for my graphic design portfolio at http://www.missheavenlydesigns.wordpress.com.  Here is a new logo for my signature.  Isn’t she cute.

Abstract Attack on 6.27.2016

Good morning.  A few days ago, I was driven to draw some bare bone illustrations on a very large scale in about an hour…it was just like I had no idea that there were even new images up there in my attic.  It flowed out and I just closed my eyes and didn’t even think of topics really.

The best part of a black and white is that my color palate is dang way open forever after I make a digital version.  I went to Staples and they had an issue about how large it was…hmmm…looks like I might even have to go to a printers shop warehouse around here.  Well, here you go and I hope you love them and can understand what they mean.

On a side note, I have actually have been running out of my expensive ink pens because I wear them out!  After I make a copy of them, I can post what I would choose for colors.  These pens are called Prisma Color (high end professional grade) are super expensive so I am trying to save up to get an even bigger set with more range of colors then what I have right now.

Praying for a house keeper for the moment, the side of my sofa where I work is like bananas for real. I have been doing really well on “impulse” cleaning on room a day.  I trained the dog how to jump over my artwork and a bit sort of museum in my living room.

It would be absolutely amazing to see your take on what they mean…if you only knew what is in my head!  I am going to add the name and measurements under each one for you.

**Please e-mail me at talldesigngirl@gmail.com if you are interested in prints of the abstracts below, the prices are very flexible

Portfolio Reboot In the Works

This is the escape of my soul moment.  I have this yummy stack of new art work and want it to be ready for both realist illustration and blind eye contour abstracts of my portfolio.  Some of my small pieces are for the scanner and some are huge.  Now with my new “smart phone”, I can do the larger images with no sweat.  Give me three days…begging on my knees!  Thumbs up!  Way Up.

Who Me? My Artwork? Newspaper?

MidlandDailyNewspaperA

Hurraahhh I made it in the newspaper!!! I don’t know how it got there and didn’t even know it was there. My sweetheart friend Jill Charters said congratulations in Facebook and I didn’t understand what for…she sent this over our chat box of an article in the Midland Daily News. Wait a minute…that is my drawing!! I’m so glad to share it. High fives!! The Online of the article is a cut and paste in the address bar

Sassy Art Crash 2016

So you take two silly sassy art females (Allise Noble and Heather-Dawn Deogracia) and send them off to an art competition with a three hour deadline. Not only do they sit together, each work so hard that they don’t even speak above the sound of rad music of the cell phone. One is drawing a flock of birds on a rainbow tree and the other girl changes her mind four times (originally was the birth of Venus but the frame style made it difficult). In the last hour, the confused one has a vision in her head finally!! She shut her eyes and imagined the following concept:

Attic boxes on top, body/organs/pleasure in the middle and the bottom stood a few male legs.

The actual drawing took around 7 minutes to complete. Next took the tracing of the original lines.

Damn, she forgot her color pencils!!! Grrrr. The judges already went around. Sob sob.

The confused one cried on the way home and drove through Wendy’s for some fries and a medium Frosty.

Brand New Art Realism and Not

Whoa tiger…seems that last month was making me do this art thing for hours.  I sit on the sofa and just get lost in sketches.  My bf gets to yell to his video game with head-gear (grr whatever, he is fully entertained, very loud cuss words) and I listen to waves of the ocean at my spot in my sofa recliner.   I have been addicted to sketchnation.com and youtube for new techniques.  It has been over two years and I am thinking about making another book named Imagination Illustration.  I am also writing /drawing about the stories of my life.  Take care and comment if you like an image.

Air hugs.

Visioning Class 2015

Here is a bit of who i am done in a visioning class from creative 360.

Basically it is your first vision of who you are.

Light a spark.

Light my fire.

Let my soul ablaze with daydreams and nightmares.

This is the time for pushing above the elements of Earth and drifting in infinite space.

Melt my insecurities and spread my arms far apart so I can surrender myself to destiny.

Before death, I must be remembered as an untouchable flame.

Dream List 2016 “e” for effort project

I woke up very very early the other day with a powerful project in my head.

It is called the “e” for effort non-profit foundation located in Midland, Michigan.

The effort rewards the single person that wishes to be in participation of the community and puts in a “e” for effort.  The individual intensely seeks to display effort to lock in science and art together which I will label as BRAIN for:

B for brilliance in attention to details

R for rational goals and life coaching

A for assistance with a mentor

I for ingenious new concepts and inventention in science

N for negotiation to meet both science and artist subject matters

I have broken down how each age could benefit for the “e” for effort program.

Tomorrow I promise to go further in my dreamy absent minded professor state of how Midland could combine science and art in the community.

Ready to Hang Fish Girl

This piece is ready for the 32nd Annual Juried Art Exhibit running March 4th-31.  Alan Maciag is a juror four exhibit (he draws things from nature).  The teasing paid off and whipped this up in a couple hours.  It is the biggest drawing I have done with colored pencils.  People were teasing me on facebook about the other image that I did in pencil (see below in b/w) that the fish was eating her crotch..come on people!!!

sob, sob…bye 2015

Yes I did get hurt this year and I healed quite nicely.  Here are my last abstracts for the year…hurrah!!  Trying to combine my totally unrecognizable abstracts to things most people would recognize in some way.  I love you web and see you real soon.

Are my Roots Showing? Like Totally.

Yikes!  Took a break too long to show you my newest art projects and I promise to make up for lost time.  The newest piece in my family is this eyeball and mouth grow out.  Yeah my ideas are ummm..original and would feel awesome to hear “you know Heather, I have witnessed this piece and I will never see another one like it.”  Being unique is the best-est present to the artist and this only took me two days…I’m pretty snappy when it comes to deadlines and the such.  My first time to present it was at the Creative 360 fundraiser a few weeks ago.  The next few are my newer abstract and the last is for my sister in California…she owns a reptile store!!  How rad is that?

Thank you for checking me out.  More pictures on the way I promise.

Ohhhh, by the way, I am putting together a party called Valentine Prom and would love you to see how cool the logos turned out.  Take care and air kisses.
